Boy Co of American Technologies Inc. and Edwin Guzman of the BIR won the Philippine Game Fishing Foundation AAD bassfishing tournament at Lake Caliraya over the weekend, beating 35 anglers to the first leg Angler of the Year credit of 10 points with 17 bass. They are also the Dec. 2001 PGFF bassfest champion team.

David Gonzales placed second on 8.724 points from 11 bass. He won the simultaneous Bass Philippine event. Year 2001 AOY Rey Buencamino and sponsor Amado A. Dy, PGFF president and vice-president, respectively, settled for third place.

The Subic Bay Yacht Club PGFF Interclub comes up next on Feb. 16-17. PGFF invites Sports Fishing Federation of the Phils member clubs to field four-angler, two-buddy-boat teams. This event also marks the 3rd Annual SFFP National Fishing Championship to comply with POC guidelines for SFFP accreditation as the national sports association for sport fishing.
